'Neolithic' is actually a reference to a time frame which comes from the Classical Greek meaning 'New stone'. I'll put the two words at the bottom for you. However there isn't really an antonym for neolithic as such. It's meant as more of a title than an adjective... The closest thing to an "opposite", which I would argue is a misunderstanding of the term, would perhaps be 'the modern age'. Hope that helps! νεος - New λιθος - Stone
If you were trying to move a huge block of stone, the forces of friction would be applied against you. To get the stone in motion, you must overcome static friction, the friction force that acts on objects that are not moving and is always working in the direction opposite of your applied force. Then, to keep it in motion, you must overcome sliding friction, which, though it takes effort to keep moving a stone, is substantially less than the effort to get a stone into motion originally.
The system wherein the net momentum is zero at all times during the stone's fall is the stone itself. Momentum is a vector quantity, and the stone experiences an equal and opposite change in momentum at each instant due to the gravitational force. The external forces acting on the stone can be neglected in this case.
