Analogous...but it depends on the context. I was trying to figure the same thing out in terms of painting. What would be the opposite of an area of high contrast, like black and white. The opposite would be something with a similar tone, for instance similar grays used next to one another. Hope that helps, although I bet there is another word out there that appropriate.
