The story begins with a girl, known simply as brat, who is found in a dung heap by Jane Sharp (known for her sharp nose and sharp glare), a village midwife. Seeing that Beetle is willing to work, Jane takes her on as her apprentice, but does not voluntarily teach Beetle about midwifery for fear of competition.
As the girl stays with the ill-tempered midwife, she matures and gains confidence. Several events help her overcome her troubled, forgotten past. She is mistaken for a girl named Alyce and adopts that name. She tames a cat and learns to care for it. She befriends a little boy who is homeless, as she once was, and finds him a name, Edward, a job and a home at the hall of a rich man.
Jane is a proud and difficult woman. She is caring for a woman in labor with the help of Alyce when word comes that a more prosperous woman is also in labor. Jane abandons the new mother to Alyce's care to attend the richer woman. Alyce successfully delivers the baby, and the grateful parents pay her instead of Jane, which angers the midwife.
Alyce tries working as a midwife, and has some success. However, she is quickly confronted by a difficult birth, and fails. Jane sweeps in and presides over the birth, and Alyce flees. She feels she is too stupid to be a midwife, so instead finds work in an inn. When a woman with a "stomach dragon" and her husband arrive at the inn, Alyce realizes that the woman is actually in labor and successfully delivers her child. This event boosts her confidence in her skills as a midwife, encouraging her to return to the village to once again become Jane's apprentice
No, a plot is a noun. To plot is a verb.
Theme. Plot is what happens.
That is called a plot.
1- Linear plot: Straight forward plot. 2- Cicular plot: the plot begins in one point & goes back to the same point in a circle.
'Plot, What Plot'
In "The Midwife's Apprentice" by Karen Cushman, the bag found in the pond could be considered a form of foreshadowing. Foreshadowing is a literary device where the author hints at future events in the story. The bag may symbolize hidden secrets or unexpected discoveries that will be revealed later in the plot. Its presence could create suspense and intrigue for the reader, suggesting that there are more mysteries to uncover as the story progresses.
Karen Black played Fran in Family Plot (1976), Alfred Hitchcock's last movie.
Darth Vader he wanted to distract the emperor so he and his apprentice could kill him But Vader just told his apprentice that it was actually a plot made by Darth Vader to root out enemies of the Empire.
Darth Vader never kills the Secret Apprentice during the game. He only pretends to so Emperor Palpatine will think the Apprentice is dead which allows Darth Vader to continue with his plot to overthrow the Apprentice. In the real ending of the game, Emperor Palpatine is the one to kill the Apprentice, however. Well, the Emperor didn't actually kill Vader's Secret Apprentice. They only way I know this is because there is a second game of Star Wars TFU.
Well . . . I can give you the plot because there aren't many alliances in the first book. There is a drought. Not much water. Dovepaw is known to be the fourth apprentice. She senses beavers. Cats from all clans help. Leopardstar is ill and on her last life. At the end Jayfeather learns that there will be a battle with StarClan and the Dark Forest . . .
In some sense yes, and in some no. The plot of the book itself can be seen as a standalone story, but there are some things, that are left inconcluded. It is more of a personal opinion.
The Fourth Apprentice, which would be the first book in the Warriors: Omen of the Stars series, has not been published yet. It will be available for purchase on November 24, 2009. The answer to this question varies on the opinion of the person answering. I suggest you ask this question on the Warriors official website.
The main character in "The Fourth Apprentice" is Dovepaw, a young ThunderClan cat who possesses unique powers that allow her to see and hear things that others cannot. She faces challenges as she tries to understand and harness her abilities for the good of her clan.
'The Beekeeper's Apprentice' series is the story of Sherlock Holmes after he retires from life as a detective in London and moves to the countryside to raise bees. He meets a young orphan girl during the War, and recognizes a kindred mind. Holmes begins training Mary Russell as an apprentice, and they solve a series of cases together. Laurie King has a firm grasp of Holmes' character, and her Holmes is just as crabby and eccentric as the original.
I believe that you can't read the full book online without buying it, but you can read a summary or the plot of it on websites like Wikipedia the free.
The answer is obvious. Its Pendragon ofcourse! Pendragon rules! Pendragon and Rangers Apprentice are both equally good. i think pendragon but rangers apprentice is pretty good too! ya right, rangers apprentice is the best. That's a good one. I think The Pendragon books have a really good plot. But the Ranger Books are really good too! But they need to be longer! i know what you mean though because if i really sit down and read it i can finish like so many chapters. OMG, Pendragon is so amazing. i really want to read the last book. It depends on who you ask. I would say Ranger's Apprentice, 'cause the main character aren't supposed to save the world as, he is in Pendragon. I think it makes it a bit childish that one boy has to save the whole world..
