A girl named Tara Brennen gets sent to Willow Falls for the summer because she stole a goat from the principle. When she gets to the train station her mom gives her $200 and her I pod Tara gets off the train and realizes she is missing the 200 dollars and her moms I pod she gets to Willow Falls and realizes its very strange she meets some friends and her cousin Emily is normal now but there are more stranger people then Emily. The most strangest was Angela D' Angelo whose been in willow falls for a looooongg time no one knows how long she has been there tara steals a comic from her uncle to get 200 bucks but Angela catches her and says tara needs to bring her 13 strange gifts by taras 13th birthday. she gets all the wrong gifts and has ti put on a play read the book for the rest.
