Mahamaya then married a dying old man (she was forced by her brother). The man died the next day. Mahamaya was to be burned allong with the body of her husband. Rajib was very sad. On that day, it rained. Rajid heard a knock on the door. It was Mahamaya, but she had a veil on her head. She said to Rajib that she would live with him if he promises not to remove her veil, EVER! Rajib then agreed to this. Rajib and Mahamaya lived together for a long time. One night Rajib just couldn't stand not seeing the beautiful face of the woman he loves. He removes the veil and sees that her cheek was burned. Mahamaya woke up and realized that Rajib removed her veil. She left Rajib alone without a word and was never seen again.
