I don't know exactly but the traditions and ways of worship clearly show that it is a Pagan religion. In one of the books from the series Torak describes 'The One' (God) as a man with antlers, which by fact, is the same description of the Wiccan/ Pagan God called Pan. Pan is represented as either a man with a goats head or a faun always wearing antlers or horns on his head. Torak also describes the Goddess as a pregnant woman which is also a description of the Wiccan Goddess or Triple Goddess (Maiden, Mother, Crone). The Clans worship the moon and trees and show great respect towards nature. Also, there is a lot of witchcraft included in the series. Yes, I would say that the religion in Wolf Brother and in the whole series is Pagan.
Walker seems to be very crazy in the book Wolf Brother.
In the first book (Wolf Brother), Torak meets him and doesnt like him since Torak finds him Annoying. He doesnt want to have to come up with a name for the Wolf pup so he decides to just call him Wolf. In the end, he keeps the name Wolf, thus Wolf being named Wolf.
