1971 Slang words have been around as long as people have been speaking. A slag word to someone might be a word they use for something else. In the United States, slang depends what part of the country you live in. Southern people use different slang words than people up north, etc, etc. So to answer your question in a nut shell, slang has been around longer than anyone can guess. And it wasn't in 1971 like someone already posted!!!!
