The climax of a story is like the turning point in the story, when the main character changes and he/she does not face any more problems. For example, the Disney version of Snow White. It is the part when the dwarfs chase off the witch. It is also not always filled with action. (the climax)

The climax is the turning point. It is the end of the prelude, and precedes the consequences and conclusion.
