if you talk to an item you are having a conversation with this item wich is illogical as items are not living obejcts....... but if you are talking about an item you are making reference to it, and you can describe it to someone you are talking with...
Yes it isEdit: Blah, that answer above is incorrect. Item and words like material, object, word etc. are all NOUNS. Nouns is a person, place or a thing (Sometimes, an idea.) An item is a thing. Adjectives are to describe a noun. Ex- This item is useless/useful. This object is too light. These materials are too heavy. Words are meaningful. Adjectives can be in the same sentence or before a noun to describe it.
Each thief was tasked with retrieving a certain item.
A biconditional is a statement wherein the truth of each item depends on the truth of the other.
Planogram
The term used to describe the map or arrangement of where each item is placed on a shelf or peg hook on a fixture is called a planogram. A planogram is a visual representation that helps retailers to optimize their product placement and ensure that items are displayed in a logical and visually appealing manner.

In retail, a planogram is a visual diagram that shows details about where to place every product in a retail store. Detailed planograms show where every item should be placed on each shelf in the store. An example of a fixture would be a display cabinet.

knickknack
Grocery stores and some other retailers record and analyze each item as it rung up on the cash register. This way the computer knows how many of each item is on the shelf. When it drops to about half (80% for fast moving items) of the designated shelf space, the computer orders more product delivered from the ware house. This called just in time inventory. It allows more different items in the store, as a smaller number of each item insures there will "always" be product on the shelf for the customers. Customers are happy and buy more as they have more product choices.
They charge a small fee for each item placed on their auction, they would also generate revenue from the companies that advertise on their site.
The cover slip is the last item to be placed on a wet mount slide before viewing.
