There are many causes of indiscipline in the youth found in today's society. One of the main causes being the lack of parent involvement as well as parents not making children responsible for their own wrong doings and failures. Too often, parents are unaware of what is going on in their children's school until the child comes home with a failing grade. The parent is then ready to march into school and reprimand the teacher instead of the child. Children pick up on these behaviors and think that every time they are insubordinate that the teacher will be forced to take the blame.

Sue them. For descrimination.
The simplest thing to do is to ask them how they pronounce it. If it is difficult to pronounce they are sure to have been asked before and wont be offended! If the situation is a little sticky- for example, I do announcements at my school and sometimes I have to say people's names, for different reasons, and since it is a very multi-cultural school I go to, there are some very difficult last names to pronounce!- it is hard to find a solution. What I do, when I get stuck, is 1. I tried to pronounce it like I thought it, and if I REALLY didn't know, once, I luckily had a teacher close by, and asked them what they thought (since they know better) and said it like that! If it sounds wrong, I just apologize for the mispronunciation.
