There is or was a character called Apache Chief in the Super Friends ( affiliated with the JLA) non-super Indian characters included Tonto, the sidekick of The Lone Ranger, and some others, the plight of the half-breed occasionally hit the trail of comic books- Jonah Hex was a weird looking cowboy character- the origin of his burn scars was not entered into as a plot device- he might have been a half breed. other Western spurs on the comic book scene were Rawhide Kid, Johnny Mack Brown, etc. they could not compete with the more popular superhero comics, and often were pensioned off after riding the corral, not the range- for months- nobody bought them, at least on the East Coast. Not many Cowboy comics.
