St. Stephen, the first martyr, a deacon of the early church, who, as he was being stoned to death, asked pardon for his persecutors... Saul (Paul) witnessed the death [prior to his conversion]
Persecutors are people who treat someone badly because of their religious beliefs. In the Bible, Jesus urged people to treat their oppressors with kindness and to "turn the other cheek" to their injustices against oneself.
The book titled, "The Fate of the Persecutors of the Prophet Joseph Smith" by N. B. Lundwall, details their fate. I read the book and in some cases the persecutors died gruesome deaths (too gory to describe). Others died in poverty and obscurity. It is interesting reading. I would recommend getting the book and reading it. It is available on Amazon.

SaroWiwa's attitude toward his persecutors appears to be one of defiance and condemnation. He criticized the injustices and environmental degradation caused by oil companies and the Nigerian government, viewing their actions as oppressive and exploitative. Despite facing persecution, he remained steadfast in his beliefs, advocating for the rights of the Ogoni people and seeking justice for their struggles. His resolve highlights a deep commitment to activism and a refusal to be silenced by his oppressors.
