Eliot, which features internal dialogues, though more traditionally, poems like "The Flea" by John Donne showcase a direct interaction between lovers. Such poems can deepen the emotional impact and enhance thematic complexity through the interaction of the speakers.
John Keats' poem "La Belle Dame sans Merci" does not have any explicit mention of the number of speakers. The poem primarily features a dialogue between the knight and the mysterious lady, but it is left ambiguous as to whether there are any other speakers present.
In "The Death of the Hired Man," the speakers are Mary and Warren, a married couple who are discussing the return of their former farmhand, Silas, who is on his deathbed. Their conversation explores themes of loyalty, forgiveness, and the value of work and relationships.
