Who is Susanna Sonnenberg?

Her present stepmother, married to Ben Sonnenberg jr, is Dorothy Gallagher, who's written about her own upbringing as the daughter of Eastern European Jewish immigrants in the Bronx.

Sonnenberg's biological mother ("Daphne" in Her Last Death) is Wendy Adler. Wendy Adler is the daughter of Larry Adler, the great harmonica player. Sonnenberg's maternal grandmother ("Patsy" in Her Last Death) was model Eileen Walser.

Eileen Walser would later marry Arnold Maremont, a Chicago industrialist, and retire to a life of leisure in Barbados. Not sure whether she's still alive.

Wendy is presumably still alive in Barbados as well. Her other daughter Emma is married in New York City. According to Emma Sonnenberg-Snowdon-Jones, Susanna hasn't spoken to her in years. Her stepmother is Susan Snodgrass & half sister is Saidee Sonnenberg

According to Stephen Verges (Susan Snodgrass's son) who appears as her stepbrother Joe in the book, Susanna equivocated throughout the entire book slandering her entire family, Verges also confronted Sonnenberg, Simon & Schuster & Kakutani stating the whole account was unsubstantiated. Verges also cries foul regarding her Oprah Magazine article, " My Sister Saidee". Verges states "If Saidee was three, I was eight & at eight we had been living in Philadelphia not rural Maryland, this woman is filthy rich from the start, I am clueless how Simon & Schuster along with Oprah Winfrey can pay all this money for all these typeset lies that don't limn the the truth of her life".
