Cutting no ice is an old expression that means that you said did not change the other persons opinion on the subject. Not cutting much ice is a variation on the phrase. If something did cut much ice it would be the opposite. What was said DID change the other persons opinion.
It is properly said "Keep your mind on it." It means to focus and concentrate and stop getting distracted. Keep your mind on what you're doing instead of thinking of other things.

there are teflon sticks/sprays available that can be used to lube the rubber seals so that ice doesn't stick to them. Or you could keep your car in a garage where snow and ice won't get to it.

Yes, it will keep the soda cold because the salt help the ice not to melt. Don't believe me check it yourself. Get an ice cube put a little salt on it and it doest melt. Or get an ice cube put some salt on it and then get a string put on top and IT WILL STICK!!!!!!!
