because the first laser that was made was by Theodore Maiman in 1960. 'laser' stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation
powerful - more powerful - most powerful
powerful
powerfully, powerfulest
There is no such word. Powerful does not form a single comparative or superlative. The phrases are "more powerful" and "most powerful."
The word powerful is an adjective, a word that describes a noun, such as a powerful engine or a powerful argument. The noun form for the adjective powerful is powerfulness, an abstract noun. Another abstract noun form is power.
I don't think there is any fixed limit as to how powerful they can make them. Of course, more powerful lasers will require a larger energy input, so that may be a limitation.
well some lasers can burn and some cannot. and some that cannot are more powerful than others
Green is the most powerful, next is red, then blue.
they are used to make lasers more powerful. I think.............
you can't answer this question with out knowing the power of both lasers. If you had two lasers, one yellow the other UV, BOTH WITH IDENTICAL POWER, the yellow laser would APPEAR to be more powerful since our eyes are particularly tuned to see this color. The UV laser would APPEAR to be invisible (i.e. no power) because our eyes cannot see UV light. Keep in mind that one only appears to be more powerful because of the way our eyes work, in reality they both have the same power.
Optical lasers, also known as laser optics, are beams of light that come in many different strengths and possible uses. Modern computer mice use lasers to detect movement. Video game systems and DVD players use lasers to access discs. More powerful lasers are used for surgery and in laboratories as tools for experiments.
Burning lasers create more heat than normal lasers. Strictly speaking, Laser include burning laser. Burning lasers are powerful laser pointers like 300mW or above, they can burn objects like paper and tapes.
A CO2 laser works by running electricity through gas to produce light. The beam of light produced is emitted through a transparent mirror. It is one of the most powerful lasers in production.
7. What is output power? The output power is related to the produced power of the laser beam, which is usually stated in milliwatt (mW). The milliwatt is a unit of power, which is one one-thousand of a watt. Higher power lasers are always more powerful than lower power lasers
Most lasers can be seen, and yes a green laser beam can be seen in space. But some lasers are really strong so we can't see them.
Lasers produce a strong beam of light. If you understand that light is energy then you will understand that a laser delivers energy to a point where the beam strikes. That energy can be weak - most domestic lasers are very low energy - and is only dangerous if focused on your retina. Like looking at the sun, looking directly at a laser can burn little permanent scars on your retina. Running it over your fingers does nothing. Commercial lasers are another story. Powerful lasers are widely used for cutting steel plates in the same way an oxy-acetylene torch does. Those lasers would cut your hand off as quickly as a butchers saw. And military lasers are big-brothers of the commercial ones. They are designed to cut holes in orbiting satellites at ranges of thousands of miles. Powerful indeed.
Yes lasers do produce heat. It depends on how strong the laser is though. The more powerful and the more heat that will be generated.
