You forget what you learned before because your brain does not use it. I will make this analogy.
its like a field of grass between you and school and you take the shortest way there every day. after a while the grass will turn into a dirt path and you will be able to see it and go the same route without realizing it. but if you went to skool then didnt go for a week you will forget the exact path you took to school.
if you keep using it you wont forget it for a long time. but if you use it once and don't use it again you will forget
what i feel if children has taken any medicines for cough or paralatic effect in younger age ie any type of steroids .memories starts weakening and no any tecniques completely improves it
