Many tabloid articles have recently scaremongered the use of Propylene Glycol (PG) in vaping e-liquids by pointing out that it is used industrially for solvents and coolants. Somehow those articles tend to forget mentioning that PG is also used in baked goods, carbonated drinks, medication, tattooing, salad dressings and has been found to be quite safe for human consumption by both American and European authorities.
That being said, there is a chance for allergic reaction (as with many consumables) and there are alternatives available.
It should be worth noting that vaping should not be considered a harmless practice, it is however, far less damaging than smoking.
