In Fallen Angels the character Perry writes his mother, these letters are symbolic of him realizing the suffering of war. At the beginning he does not have a clear view of war and has no trouble writing to his house. Once he gets a taste of the brutality of war he finds it difficult to write honestly(JENKINS DEATH). Eventually though, he is finally able to write an honest letter home. This symbolizes Perry rejecting the myths of war and finally coming to terms with the real, brutality of war.

He initially does not have any trouble writing home since he does not have a clear view of war. It is very briefly talked about in the book, and shrugged off as if it was a minor detail. This suggests that at this point, its easy for Perry to write a letter home. In the beginning of the novel, Perry has an unclear view of war. His faulty concept of war allows him to write a letter in blissful ignorance.

He quickly realizes the cruelty of war and finds it difficult to write home. We get a hint of this is when Jenkins dies. He resolves to write to his mother about Jenkins' death, but finds the topic too difficult to discuss and decides to not write a letter. Throughout the novel Perry is unable to be honest about war. Instead he continues to send letters that are watered-down even though he no longer believes the war myths. He is afraid of making his mom upset. He also does not want to relive the tragedy. The bloodshed of war makes it increasingly difficult for him to write home.

Does god have angels?

Perhaps not in the context of "having" angels, but The Bible states that there are angels who serve God. It is believed that demons are the angels who were led by Satan and rebelled against God, but failed, with God sending them to Hell as punishment. This is where the term 'fallen angel' comes from.

What could you call a half vampire half angel?

You would call it a Nephilim: a half human, half fallen angel. Vampire women can't get pregant and normal angels would not go round having sex with human women, only fallen angels would, therefore a fallen angel must have have sex and made a child with a human woman, then she would've given birth to the Nephilim baby and then she would have somehow turned into a vampire.

Who were the Fallen Angels that sinned?

A:The Jews of the Apocalyptic period (200 BCE to 100 CE) could not understand why God had abandoned them and allowed evil to rule the world in their time. They studied the Hebrew scriptures and found proceeded to develop answers that included fallen angels, as in the Book of Enoch. In this book, Enoch is taken on an inspection tour of Sheol, the shadowy underworld place of the dead, where he sees the sons of God in their fallen state and learns that these "angels, the children of heaven, saw and lusted after" the daughters of men. Because of their interest in women, the fallen angels became known as Watchers. 2 Enoch added to the myth the notion that the angels rebelled on account of pride: "And one from out the order of angels, having turned away with the order that was under him, conceived of an impossible thought, to place his throne higher than the clouds above the earth, that he might become equal in rank to any power. And I threw him out from the height with his angels, and he was flying in the air continuously above the bottomless." It is thought that this passage may be of later, Christian origin. The Book of Jubilees specified that nine tenths of the angels fell and one tenth remained sinless and loyal to God. Medieval writers later reversed these proportions, creating a new tradition that one tenth of all the angels fell.

Was there really an angel Gabriel?

The angels are an important part of modern Jewish tradition, as well as those of Christianity and Islam, with Gabriel having the special role of being the messenger of God.However, angels only entered Jewish belief in books of the Bible written after the Babylonian Exile, possibly as a result of Zoroastrian influence. If the Israelites had not previously known of angels, it is reasonable to say that angels do not really exist, and therefore the angel Gabriel does not exist.ANSWERThe first book of the Bible talks about Angels. Or perhaps more appropriatly, "Fallen Angels." Nephilim. This was before the Babylonian Exile. It is not accurate to say that angels are the result of an incorporation of different traditions and beliefs into the Torah.
