Mathematics is concrete since it can be applied to real-life applications that one can use everyday, such as calculating the amount of money needed to pay for your taxes, mortgage, groceries, etc.

It's abstract since it is also theoretical. For example, the number "e" or "i" are two imaginary numbers used to predict numbers that can not be reached, but they are still used for real life applications (the number "e" is used for continuously compounded interest). It is also used in other theoretical subjects such as Physics and Chemistry.
