Black is a color, not a breed or a hybrid of any kind.
Originally horses came in bay and a mutation occurred which allowed red and black to separate from each other. Black is connected to Agouti, and red (chestnut or sorrel) on extension.
How this works is that the two alleles at extension determine if black is a possible color, and the two alleles at Agouti controls where it is placed.
If a horse is ee at extension he's red, a red horse can have any Agouti status, but it will not show, but can be passed down to it's offspring unless it is aa, which means there is no Agouti present.
EE plus aa means that a horse is Homozygous (dominant) for black, Ee plus aa means the horse is Heterozygous (Recessive) for black.
EE, Ee, plus AA or Aa means the horse is bay with varying abilities to pass on Agouti, Black, and Red.
it is a purebred!:D
Mixing desirable traits in one purebred plant with another one purebred plant that has another desirable trait. The result is a hybrid. For example: in animals, a cross between a donkey and a horse produces a mule.
Purebred is only possible in Homozygous conditions such as AA or aa, and indvidual that is a hybrid (Aa) is not truebreeding and therefore is not purebred.

No. Black is dominant, and a dominant trait always shows itself when it is present
There is no such thing as a "pure-bred" black cat. "Black" is just a coat colour, just like "white", "blue", brown" or "red" (orange/ginger). They are not breeds or species. Black is a common coat colour found in many different breeds.

Palomino is a color and not a breed produced by the introduction of the Creme gene on an otherwise chestnut horse. A palomino is eeCrcr and has to be heterozygous at the creme dilution locus. A homozygous creme horse that is otherwise chestnut at the extension site is eeCrCr which produces the double dilute color of cremello, a horse that is nearly white with blue eyes.

You have a purebred horse and get it pregnant with a horse that is purebred. Then the baby will be purebred. Or you can buy one in the sales. Blue stars means that the horse is purebred.
A registered quarter horse is a purebred.
