In order to push the button, you need a smaller monster, such as a garu or the monster you get at the beginning of the game. To push it, have your monster go just left of the green semi-circle, then walk towards the wall. Your monster should automatically push it. If not, move a little to the right. It took me a little while to figure it out as well.

Fame in Monster Rancher 2 is how popular your monster is. 1 is the lowest fame and 100 being the highest. You can get more fame by winning battles or eating Star Prunes. But your fame will go down if you enter a battle that is below your regular rank. And also fame may help you get certain monsters, like Dragon or Wracky. And people like Dr.Talico, visit you if your fame is high enough.

Deffantly go for the evo 7/8, you would think that the best would be the newest evo, but that's not the case. Hope that helps you :)
To trap the monster in Mission Five go to the Lighthouse and get the rope and the net, combine them to make a trap. Then go to the Ski Lodge and get the candlestick out of the candlestick holder. Go to where you play Ice Fishing and you will see the monster. Put the trap on a tree and put the candlestick on the trap. Then the crab will come and go into thr trap. After the other part of the monster runs away it leaves some of it's fur behind, pick up the fur and go back to HQ and put it in the Machine you fixed with your spy comb. Find out what the other part of the monster was and you are done with the mission.
