When you breed the horses you will have a greenstar baby and more people will want to buy it. also it improves it skills..

When your horse has a green star that means the horse has good GP or genetic potential. EXAMPLE: I have a horse that has 10 green stars. That means that my horse has 10 stars worth of potential.

Greenstars on howrse have special qualities. Therefore if you have a greenstar in Dressage, you should start training it in Dressage because that's what it learns quickest. Also being a greenstar means that its sell by price in the auctions or Private Sales goes up higher, and higher still if it's a purebred greenie.

To see if you have a greenstar go to your horses page, and scroll down to the tab above Origin. If it says EXCELLENCE then you have a greenstar!

A way to be sure that you will get a greenstar, is too breed a greenstar with a greenstar, it doesn't matter how many they have each. For example:

1* + 2* = 1* highest achieved greenstars have 20*stars.
