It's privately made by "colorizing" a standard bullion piece. The underlying eagle coin has one ounce of .999 silver so its value is roughly that of one troy ounce at whatever the going rate is on a particular day (see kitco.com, CNN Money, etc. for current quotes).
However the added color is not usually considered anything that adds value, except perhaps among a few niche collectors of altered coins and coin-like items.
A "colorized" silver eagle has no numismatic collectible value, but it's still one ounce of silver that's worth about $30.00.
It'll be worth the value of silver per oz. Currently about 33 dollars.
I totally dk (don't know)
An 1841 Seated Liberty silver dollar is worth $200 or more depending on condition. However, if the coin is golden in color with a picture of William Henry Harrison, then it's a 2009 Presidential dollar, and it's worth one dollar.
This is a American Silver Eagle bullion coin. The fact it has been colorized destroys the numismatic collectible value of the coin. The piece still has a value of about $30.00 for the silver it contains.
Please post a new question with the bill's date and seal color.
It's not gold plated the Brass in the coin gives it that color and it's not worth more than a dollar
Your better off just keeping it and giving it to your grandchildren. It might be worth something when they get older. I went to a coin collector with a coin that dates from the 1700's, he didn't give me a satisfying amount so I just kept the coin. Coin's with color on them aren't much either.
A genuine 1801 Bust silver dollar is worth no less than $700 and possibly over $10,000 depending on condition. If by chance the coin is golden in color, with a picture of Thomas Jefferson and the dates 1801-1809 on it, then it's a modern presidential dollar, worth one dollar.
If it's golden in color and has the Statue of Liberty on the back, it's a 2011 presidential dollar, worth one dollar.
An 1885 Morgan silver dollar is still legal tender at face value of one dollar, though it's currently worth nearly $20 for the silver content. If by chance the coin is golden in color and a little bigger than a quarter, and either says Chester A. Arthur 1881-1885 or Grover Cleveland 1885-1889, then it's a modern presidential dollar, worth one dollar.
The Susan B Anthony dollar is the same silvery color as the US quarter, dime and half-dollar. However, the coin contains no silver.
