Hestia's gift ensures that when two unicorns are bred, that a baby unicorn will result no matter what time the breeding took place. Other rules must be followed such as both must be the same breed, both must be unicorns, and the gift must be used before breeding.
They come from other unicorns. Orinially howrse gave them out to people so the population of unicorns can get higher.
Game time!
You can't get a unicorn when you first sign up on to howrse. You have to buy unicorns at acutions or direct sales.
There is no specific season for breeding unicorns on Howrse. There is, however, a time. You need to breed two unicorns at exactly 6:23 GMT. It can be either AM or PM, but it has to be GMT (game time), and it cannot be before or after that time or it won't work. You can find the game time in the brackets beside the time for your time zone. If you breed at this time, you have a 1 in 6 chance of getting a unicorn foal, unless you have Hestia's gift, in which case you will get a unicorn foal.

6:23 am and pm GMT time 1:23 am and pm EST
"Uni reject" is slang on Howrse for a normal horse whose parents are both unicorns. In order to breed a unicorn you have to cover your mare at 6:23am or 6:23pm GMT (that's 1:23am or 1:23pm if you live in the USA) and both horses must be unicorns. If you do all this correctly then you will have a 1 out of 6 chance of producing a uni. Breeding a uni is very difficult, so most uni offspring do not become unicorns.
Here are the rules: ~Both unicorns must be the same breed (type of horse) ~You have to cover at the right time (it is different for everyone) ~Both parents have to be unicorns
