Hestia had few significant temples or shrines dedicated to her. Rather she presided over the hearth at the centre of each home, the altars of all the gods, and the public hearth of the city. There seems, however, to have been a Hestia temple at Hermione in Greece. The Romans, though, built temples to her equivalent, Vesta. The most famous one on Forum Romanum, Rome.
