conflict between the homesteaders, Indians, cowboys
Farmers thought that cattle and other livestock shouldn't graze the land because it had nutrients to be used for crops. Cattlemen or ranchers wanted the land to graze the animals.
Yellowhammer cattle originated from Great Britain and were brought to the state of Florida by settlers and ranchers. They were selected for their hardiness, adaptability to the Florida climate, and ability to thrive in the local environment.
They came to the Amazonian Rainforest since the late 1960's parts of the Amazon basin have become just that.
God.
The open range came to an end because barbed wire was invented and was incredibly cheap, this meant that cattle ranchers could fence them in cheaply. One reason they wanted to do this was because the cows could roam all over the place which led to confusion when one persons cattle ended up on another ranchers farm. The demand for beef also fell meaning that cattle ranchers found it harder and harder to sell the cattle that they were breeding and many cattle were dying and going to waste, one reason for this was the hard weather conditions and as the business was not as good anymore and people were not making as much money anymore, they moved onto other things which were easier or made them more money.
Because many of the ranchers wanted to keep their herds purebred. It's not that crossbreeding is bad in itself, it's just that ranchers having a purebred herd didn't want any "surprises" come spring, or have any trouble with calving cows.
The origins of the cowboy tradition come from Spain, beginning with the hacienda system of medieval Spain. This style of cattle ranching spread throughout much of the Iberian peninsula and later, was imported to the Americas
