While doing a little research on these vehicles, I ran across a reference to this issue arising as a direct result of the rear window defroster shorting out to (sorry I don't remember which) another component.
I just recently read that the connector for the 3rd light will short out and blow the fuse disabling your shifting out of park. Check your fuses and the 3rd light connector. Good Luck.
