check the vacuum, or if its been torn into before then see if the front drive shaft is in it. it could also be electrical, because i think that has an electric transfer shifter.

2001 kia sportage will not lock into four wheel say it in four wheel drive but front wheels dont pull or lock in
Sounds like it might be the vaccum switch on the front axle.
Your 1998 F150 has 3 relays for your power door locks : an all unlock relay / a driver unlock relay / and an ALL LOCK RELAY I'm guessing that the ALL LOCK RELAY has failed I'm sorry but I haven't found the location of the power lock/unlock relays on your F150 yet ( does anyone know the location of the power door lock / unlock relays on a 1998 F150 ? )
YES - it has 4 wheel anti - lock brakes
What is the n onthe 4 wheel knod
old break hose collapsing and or pistions sticking in calipers.
Yes, assuming the car has four wheels, four-wheel-drive is the same thing as all-wheel-drive. Not always, four wheel drive provides a positive lock between the front and rear axles. All wheel drive has a differential between them most of the time.
This vehicle is a front wheel drive and was available in 1998. One of the main features was that it contained front and side air bags as well as anti lock brakes.
There is a vacuum pipe system used to lock the front hubs. The t pieces in this system are platic, and break after a few years. This stops the hub from locking - hence only rear wheel drive despite what the light says.
If You have Manual Locking Front Hubs, Then the 4 wheel drive will not work/drive the front 2 wheels at all without, Locking-Them-In . Do Not Lock and use the 4 wheel drive on Dry Pavement.
