Astra ignition lights? Don't want to be sarcastic, but what do you actually want to know here? On most modern cars,Astra included, when you turn the key,all the warning lights come on as a "self test",then go out as the ECU checks the items they pertain to.The ones which stay on are ignition/charge lamp and oil pressure.Once the engine starts, these too should go out, unless you have a problem.
Get in car. Put key in ignition switch. Turn key.
To remove the ignition switch plug from a Vauxhall Astra, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and the key is removed. Locate the ignition switch, usually situated on the steering column. Press the release tab on the plug, then gently pull the plug away from the ignition switch. If needed, you may have to disconnect any surrounding components for easier access.
To replace the ignition switch on a K-reg Astra, first disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Remove the steering column cover by unscrewing the screws, then locate the ignition switch, which is typically mounted near the ignition lock. Disconnect the wiring harness from the old switch, remove it, and install the new ignition switch in the reverse order. Finally, reassemble the steering column cover and reconnect the battery.
To remove the ignition switch from an Opel Astra, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety. Next, remove the steering column covers to access the ignition switch. You will need to turn the key to the "run" position to release the lock mechanism, then detach any screws or clips securing the switch in place. Finally, unplug the wiring harness and carefully pull the ignition switch out.
The ignition control module for a 2001 Astra is typically located near the engine, often mounted on or near the ignition coil pack. In many cases, it can be found on the side of the engine block or mounted on the intake manifold. For precise location, it's recommended to consult the vehicle's service manual or a repair guide specific to your model.
If cylinder number 2 in your Opel Astra G is fouling plugs despite replacing the ignition module, the issue could be related to fuel delivery or an engine mechanical problem. Possible causes include a faulty fuel injector that is leaking or delivering too much fuel, a compression issue such as a blown head gasket or worn piston rings, or a problem with the engine's air intake system. It's also worth checking for any vacuum leaks that could disrupt the air-fuel mixture.
before you turn ignition on hold in your milometer button it should go off .
