You can top up the coolant in your Skoda Fabia if it is low, but it's important to ensure that the new coolant is compatible with the existing one. However, if the coolant appears dirty or has been in the system for a long time, it's best to drain the old coolant and replace it entirely for optimal performance. Regularly checking and maintaining the coolant system will help prevent overheating and other issues. Always consult your owner's manual for specific recommendations.
If you must do it yourself ensure that you drain and capture all the old coolant. There is not a drain cock on the system. You must use the rad hose disconnect. The dex coolant does not like air. It is well worth your while to get a shop with an evacuation flush unit to replace the coolant. This method pushes out the old coolant with the fresh stuff. Effective and mixed to the proper proportion to maximize the long life of the Dexcool.
If you have coolant exchanger take radiator cap off drain as much as you can along with reservoir. Remove upper hose clamps take hose off drain any excess then lower hose from radiator drain that. Otherwise Drain plug at bottom of radiator and a "oil pan" which can be used (if clean) for coolant. Should work well enough then remove hoses and other lines. If you are replacing radiator and doing this in driveway expect an hour or two if you are just starting out with stuff like this.
You should not need to bleed coolant. Ever. If the coolant is filling up on its own the stuff in there is not coolant and you have a big problem.
regular green stuff
The green stuff
What brand of liquid drain plumber works best? I need the strongest stuff.
The black stuff coming out of your shower drain is likely a buildup of mold, mildew, or dirt. This can occur due to a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance of the drain. It is important to regularly clean and disinfect your shower drain to prevent this buildup and maintain good hygiene in your bathroom.
Crystalized coolant? due to a leaking headgasket?
