Hey,
I have the same problem and all I could figure out was that the sensors give an incorrect signal during wet/damp conditions such as rain or thaw.
Have you solved this, any tips?
Thanks,
MB.
The bonnet on a Citroen 03 has a double latch, one located in the compartment and the other under the hood in a slight recess. It is necessary to open both to have full access.

To open the bonnet on a Citroën C2, first locate the bonnet release lever inside the vehicle, typically found on the driver's side near the footwell. Pull the lever to release the initial latch. Then, move to the front of the car, slide the safety catch under the bonnet to the side, and lift the bonnet open. Secure it with the provided prop rod if necessary.
I am in a hurry and you've spammed the web with this saying you've got answers and nothing here scum
To open the bonnet of a Citroën Saxo, first, locate the bonnet release lever inside the car, usually found near the driver's side footwell or under the dashboard. Pull the lever to release the initial latch. Then, move to the front of the car, where you'll find a secondary safety latch under the bonnet itself; slide this latch to the side while lifting the bonnet to fully open it. Ensure the bonnet is supported with the prop rod if applicable.
The bonnet release catch is located on the outside wall in the passenger footwell, just underneath the glove box. Pull this lever out towards the seat. Then you lift the bonnet slightly and locate the main release lever in the gap between the bonnet and the front trim.

To release the bonnet on a Citroen C4 with a broken release lever, you can try accessing the mechanism directly. Use a flathead screwdriver or a similar tool to pry open the bonnet slightly at the front, then reach under the grille to locate the latch. Gently pull the latch towards you to release the bonnet. If this method fails, consider using a professional service to avoid any damage.
Open the bonnet and look at the firewall behind the green suspension sphere. There will be the RP number and the paint code.
If the bonnet catch is missing on a Citroen Xsara, you can try to gently pull up on the bonnet itself while someone else pushes down on the front to relieve tension. Alternatively, you may need to access the latch mechanism directly from underneath the car, using a flashlight to locate it. If these methods do not work, consider seeking assistance from a mechanic to avoid damaging the vehicle.
