yes
All Mini-Coopers manufactured to date run on gasoline.
Premium gas
yes, it's recommended that you use 91 octane or better if you read around, you'll see that most people who use premium seem to think that the car runs better and the milage is slightly better, too
Depending on which year, make, and model Mini Cooper you get you will get an average of 35mpg on a new Mini Cooper. This information was taken from the manufactures website.
unleaded
NO.. it does not need premium gas.. You only have to put premium gas in a car which recommends premium gas. I would recommend a fill up with some mid grade gas atleast once a month...
yes premium gas is required
not unless you have diesel.
Absolutely...it will run much worse using non-premium gas.
When owning a car, it is important to know how much fuel it will hold. A 2009 Mini-coopers gas tank with hold about 13. 2 gallons of fuel.
if you have a turbo engine you need premium gas, look inside your gas tank door and it will tell you what octane your car requires.
Yes.....Non-S models run fine on regular fuel. Not true. I've put regular gas in my 2003 mini S from day one - and it runs fine. --- reason why the S model needs premium gas is because of the super charger. theirs a higher compression ratio. they will start to "knock" after a while. if u run it hard then I'll degrade the engine much faster. --- My Mini S has 82K miles on it. I drive it very hard. It's never knocked. Runs smooth as can be... and I've NEVER put premium gas in it. No need to waist the money!
