To reset your Ford Galaxy Service inspection light. 1 Ensure ignition is switched off.

2 Press and hold the trip meter reset button whilst turning on ignition..

3 Hold trip reset until four dashes "----" appear in display and then release the trip button.

4 Turn off ignition.

Sometimes this procedure has to be done two or three times depending on whether it is a LN1 service, LN2 service or OIL if it's time for them all, then you need to repeat three times. On some models there seems to be a debate about opening and closing the bonnet before this procedure, some say the light comes back on after 1000 miles some say there's hasn't come back on yet and they've done 2000 miles. I think the best thing to do is not open and close the bonnet and see what happens
