put new battery in
Remove the valet key from the fob and behind it is a small Phillips screw. After that the fob will split and the battery is visible.
Yes you can just change the battery
Just call Parts, the battery costs $6.00 you can replace it yourself.
Find out what type of battery the fob takes, and then replace it. If you are in the middle of nowhere, then i dont know.
To replace the battery on a Mercedes ml 350 key fob it is probably best to ask the supplier where it is purchased or there may be some instructions online.
I just changed the battery in my 2000 Corvette key fob. Use a coin to open the case being careful not to touch any circuitry because the static electricity could damage the FOB. Be careful when removing the battery and replace it (in my case) with a CR2450 battery. I found the battery at a CVS pharmacy. Replace the battery with the writing or plus side facing up. Then hold the FOB close to your car and hold down the lock and unlock buttons for 7 seconds and the car horn should beep. Good luck
Changing a Mazda 2 battery in the key fob is quite simple. You will need to use a flat head screwdriver to pry open the fob. You will then take the battery out with the screwdriver and replace it.
most likely it's a dud battery in fob. Easy to replace, just prise open fob. Keep a spare battery somewhere as I have been locked out by a dud battery!
To replace the key fob battery in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, first, use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob along the seam. Once open, remove the old battery, noting its orientation, and replace it with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side is facing up. Finally, snap the two halves of the fob back together until they click securely. Test the fob to ensure it works properly.
