I install a new starter and lost my radio, and i have no code4 it, I have a 1995 XJ6 can anyone help
To remove the radio from a 1994 Jaguar XJS Convertible, first, disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Use a flathead screwdriver or a radio removal tool to gently pry off the trim surrounding the radio. Once the trim is removed, unscrew any mounting screws securing the radio, then carefully slide the radio out of the dashboard. Finally, disconnect the wiring harness and antenna plug from the back of the radio.
The anti theft code for the radio is available from a BMW dealership. You will need the VIN number from the car and the serial number from the radio. To get the serial number you will have to remove it from the dash.
It's an anti-theft device used to lock out (disable) the radio in the event that it is stolen. You need the code to unlock it. The code is provided to the owner when purchased and should be with the original paperwork. If you can't find it, you may have to take the car in to a Jaguar dealer and have them unlock it. Good luck. When new Jaguar put the radio code on a sticker on the underside of the hood sometimes these were never removed, so look there for a four digit code
If it's the same as a 1994 XJ6, there is a code under the bonnet on the driver's side (at the top when open). Enter the last 4 digits. If there's no sticker, you need to remove the radio to get the serial number, and contact a dealer.
