The Cigarette lighter socket needs replaced. Is this an easy task?
Also , can the new socket be just a standard or special socket for the Mercedes?
Thanks. Ed
To replace the cigarette lighter in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and the keys are removed. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the old lighter from its socket. Disconnect the wiring harness connected to the back of the lighter and attach the new lighter by connecting the wiring harness and pushing it back into the socket until it clicks into place. Finally, test the new lighter to ensure it functions correctly.
