How do I open a locked 05 Mercedes C230 glove compartment for which i have remote that starts the car and locks the doors fits the ignition but cannot fit in the glove box key hole n purchased used?

In a mercedes, usually the glove box key is located hidden within the bigger remote key of the car. Look for this key on the top/back of the remote, it's the only metal part on the key, it'll have a small sliding latch to release the key.

If you don't have this key, you must get one from the dealer. They can likely cut you a new one just from the VIN number, but you might have to go to the dealer and have them either cut you a new key or install a new glove box latch and give you a new key system. Note that this key would've also likely manually opened your doors and trunk in the event your remote key didnt work...so it's a good thing to have the original on if you can.
