There is 3 round plastic caps on the top of the cover,1 at the back and 2 at the front. Pop these out with a screwdriver and there is a nut under each one. Take off the nuts, take out the dipstick and take off the oil filler cap and the cover comes off.
Under the plastic cover just below the windshield on the right hand side side. You don't need to remove the cover to change the filter, it is enough to lift the front of the cover and reach in to release the filter. It is a bit tricky since it is pretty tight, but it can be done.
