hi there you have to remove the top engine mount and inlet manifold about 15 bolts its a bit potchy to get out and then you can get at the heater plugs
2 ways easiest is too remove inlet manifold other is too remove engine 3 ltrs only
on the V6 you need to remove the inlet manifold and if you release the o/s engine mount at the top the engine will drop enough to give access to the rear 3 plugs, what a nightmare
Hi i had same problem new heater plugs cured it
The most probable cause is that one or multiple heater plugs are faulty.
Take the old one out and put a new one in
To change the heater plugs on a Vectra 1.9 CDTI, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the engine cover if applicable, then locate the heater plugs, typically found on the cylinder head. Use a suitable socket to carefully unscrew the old plugs, clean the area, and then install the new plugs, ensuring they are properly torqued. Finally, reconnect the battery and start the engine to check for proper operation.
The Cummins engine doesn't have glow plugs. It has an intake manifold heater grid.
Heater plugs in a ford focus 1.8 engine should be changed every 18 months-2 years.
You don't. It uses an intake grid heater. You don't have glow plugs.
