Could be a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter or something in the electrical system is getting overheated like a coil or crankshaft sensor.
We're on our second (and last) scenic - the first one was a petrol engine & blew at least one coil every other month... one of the reasons we went for a diesel engine on the current one - but have had a host of other problems instead.
The coil springs are not easy to remove or install. The spring needs to be compressed in order to be removed. It takes several hundred pounds of pressure to compress the spring.
Hi, This light came on in my Megane Scenic and it meant I had to replace one ( could be more ) of my coil packs on top of the manifold. Your car will lose power when in higher gear or going uphill.
there are 4 coils each coil is mounted on top of the sparkplug,it plugs onto the top of each individual sparkplug, there is a connection at the top of the coil which must be unpluged first, then coil is pulled upwards.perhaps only one needs to be replaced but which one?i had a coil problem before, the engine did not run smoothly and the emmissions warning light came on. i rang the Renault dealer, explained the symptom, the receptionist told me the problem was with the coils,i called over they had it fixed in less than 10 minutes
To change the spark plugs on a Renault Scenic Expression, first, ensure the engine is cool and then disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the engine cover if applicable, and carefully detach the ignition coil or spark plug wires to access the plugs. Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew the old plugs, then install the new ones by hand to avoid cross-threading, and tighten them to the manufacturer’s specifications. Finally, reconnect the ignition coils or wires and the battery terminal before starting the engine.
to me it sounds like an ignition coil problem ive changed mine 3 months ago and now its playing up again try removing coil if you see one with orange powder on the bottom its most likely to be caused by rain water leaking in to that area another common Renault fault, i would replace all 4 coils but don't take it to a garrage as they will charge about £150 buy a set of 4 from eBay for around £40 and change them yourself very easy to do its just 1 bolt per coil hope this helps
To change the front coil springs on a 2004 Renault Clio, start by safely lifting the vehicle and securing it on jack stands. Remove the front wheel, then disconnect the shock absorber from the strut assembly, and detach the strut from the lower control arm. Use a spring compressor to safely compress the coil spring, remove the top mount, and take out the old spring. Replace it with the new coil spring, reassemble the strut, and reinstall it back on the vehicle.
need to replace the coil thing, cost about £40
