The thermostat is located on the front side of the engine. If you follow your radiator hose that leads to the passenger side of the motor, you'll see a plastic pipe coming from the block. Two bolts hold that pipe to the block, after removing that pipe, the thermostat will fall right out. Putting it back in can be a pain, make sure to check for leaks.
Also, to get to the thermostat, you'll probably need to move some of the hoses that connect to that plate that holds that smaller engine cover.
