Actually you don't pull it. Of course you will break it that way. After you unscrew the 2 screws....Stand parralel with your car, while you face towards the back. Stand next to the brake light cover. Using the side of your hand quickly, but kinda gently hit the whole cover towards the back of the car. It will pop right off.

Open the trunk Pull the carpet back'. Take the nuts off the back of the taillight assembly. Pull the lens and assembly out the back. Pull the bulbs/socket out the back. Replace the bulb. Put back in the socket. Installation is the reverse of these steps.

I watch the mechanic do mine,just 2 weeks ago. He stood on the side of the car, where the lens is to be placed. And he slid it on and did a sharp tap to catch on the pins. Then he put the 2 screws on the back. And for $4.89 (for the 2 bulbs), I was on my way. Hope this helps!
