Open the back hatch and on the inside there are push screws (for a lack of a better term), these can just be pulled out, not as easy as it sounds, this will release the tail light cover and you can change the bulbs easily. There are 2 bulbs on each side. I suggest that you change both. The key to getting your push screws back in is to make sure that the round piece that slides is all the way up.
