To remove the rear wiper arm from a Peugeot 407 estate, first, lift the wiper arm away from the rear window. Look for a small securing nut at the base of the arm and use a suitable socket or wrench to loosen and remove it. Once the nut is removed, gently wiggle the wiper arm to detach it from the splined shaft. Be cautious not to damage the shaft or the rear window during the process.
not sure if a partner is the same but I asked the same question to a dealer regarding the 407 SW rear wiper arm as mine was not positioned correctly and was told they could only be removed by breaking off and replaced with a new arm!
To rectify the rear wiper motor on a Peugeot 407 HDi estate, first, check the fuse and wiring connections to ensure they are intact. If the motor is faulty, remove the rear wiper arm and the motor cover, then detach the motor from its mounting by unscrewing it. Replace the old motor with a new one, reconnect the wiring, and reassemble the components. Finally, test the wiper to ensure it’s functioning correctly.
