To change the starter in a 1993 Jaguar XJ6, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Then, access the starter by removing any components obstructing it, like the air intake or heat shield. Remove the starter's mounting bolts and disconnect the wiring harness, then install the new starter by reversing the process—secure it with bolts, reconnect the wiring, and reassemble any components removed. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the new starter to ensure proper operation.
