Bring up settings on your speedometer.Use the window panes to get to time/date,may also have to use your up/down arrows.Click OFF for same as head setting.Numbers should be highlighted(usually hour first, use up down arrows to reset)

I don't have your model but if it's an analogue clock you could try this... In the centre console where the radio and sat nav is (Nowhere near the actual clock) click on: Serv - System - Time - use your up and down arrows and press ok and you see the hands on the clock start to move. I have a CLK and that's how you change mine - it took me about an hour sat in the car pressing everything and I have the manual, it's just not in there!

See your user manual; it's great for help with all the basic maintenance. On my 2008 Outback 2.5 XT (auto climate control), it's the + and - buttons just to the right of the clock. I'm not sure if this is consistent among all 2008 Outbacks though.
