Jack the drivers side rear tire up, and look under and up toward the gas cap. You'll need a 10mm socket to loosen the clamp. Also a 17mm wrench to release the the fuel filter connections. Loosen one side and allow the pressure to release out, you'll have a little gas flow. Watch your eyes. Pretty basic, but you'll need effort and patience. Good Luck

On my 88 XJ6 I change it ever 4k miles since it does hold 8 quarts, on my 94 XJ12 I change it ever 6k miles as it holds 11 quarts.
