How do you change the headlights on a 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio?

I just changed the headlights on my roommate's 2002 Cabrio, but I followed the instructions given for a 2001. What you have to do is: 1. Move the metal wire holding the black cover to the side and remove the black cover. 2. Remove the power cord from the bulb itself and push to the side. 3. You will see a pin holding the headlight in. Squeeze the pin (you want to squeeze closer to the top of the pin, which is the closed end; don't squeeze the open ends because all you will do is get irritated and hurt your fingers), then push it back and down. What this will do is move the pin away and then out from those little metal tabs that its going through. One side will pop out, then the other. When you get it out, the pin should be standing up, with the closed end pointing up. You can then remove the bulb and replace. Popping the pin back in is a heck of a lot easier than getting it out! I was able to remove the cover, but I got totally stumped on the pin. I hope this helps you out, it may be a little confusing but its kind of difficult to describe.
