few steps to get you going, remove the top dash 3 screws along the bottom 2 either side of the clock and 1 on the other side of speedo simply pull off
remove speedo screws and tilt forward to revel cable unscrew from clock
on the gearbox unscrew the cable it goes straight in the top
in the engine bay remove carpet/soundproofing/stuff held in by screws and trace where the cable goes
refit as removed its simple really once you get going

hya i had the same problem with mine one day it was working then while driving it just went off if the speedo is electrics ratha than speedo cable then it is the speedo sensor that bolts into the gearbox it should have a connector up from the sensor cable (blue cable) unclip it from there and unbolt i bought sensor from local scrapyard for £10 and replaced it took 5 min easy job hope this helps
